This is a recent widget we produced recently at work for Family Dollar’s new children”s clothing line. It was really fun to design this widget. I pulled inspiration from cut out paper dolls. It really helps me to physically interact with my projects so for this one I actually cut out several different baby and toddler forms. James Sansoterra helped me photograph them so I could have some visual reference to accurately illustrate them out. Kevin Atiyeh helped me illustrate the outfits and Mike Kruk developed the flash, he did a fantastic job too. I had a lot of fun playing with the color scheme and bubbly shapes but what was more interesting was working out the details of the user interface and fitting all the necessary elements in such a small space. Feel free to try it out and post images of your favorite “Kidget” outfits!
